In 2012, I lost my job after a series of personal challenges. That difficult moment became the catalyst for change. I realized it was time to take control of my future, so I boldly decided to become an entrepreneur and turn adversity into opportunity. What could have been a setback became the fuel I needed to launch several businesses, each driven by my passion and love for connecting with people.
The Inspiration Behind Black Bottom Kitchen
As long as I can remember, I’ve loved entertaining guests, whether hosting family dinners or bringing homemade dishes to potlucks. Cooking always brought me joy, and seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they enjoyed my food made it even more special. One day, I thought: Why not bring this joy to my community? I knew I had the skills and passion, but starting a catering business was a new challenge. However, I’ve never shied away from "How can I make this happen?"
That’s how Black Bottom Kitchen was born in 2023. Our menu features a variety of dishes, from soul food to seafood, sandwiches, brunch, and much more. We’re passionate about food’s ability to bring people together. It’s that connection that fuels everything we do. Whether it’s a private, intimate brunch for two or a large-scale gala for 150 guests, our team approaches each event with care and dedication. We love creating experiences that are not only delicious but stress-free for you.
